A three-year-old child taken from his mother at a border crossing was tracked down by U.S. and Mexican border agents and returned to his mother on June 7.

The joint rescue  —  involving U.S. Customs and Border Protection agents in the Tucson (AZ) Sector and authorities from the Government of Mexico Nogales Station  —   began when U.S. CBP agents apprehended a female Guatemalan national for illegally entering the U.S.
