TikTok is obsessed with this viral melted chocolate hack that’s perfect for summer picnics: ‘This is genius’ | #hacking | #cybersecurity | #infosec | #comptia | #pentest | #hacker

Just in time for warm summer weather, a picnic snack hack is going viral across TikTok — and chocolate lovers are rejoicing.

Originally posted by food influencer Rosa Isabel (@foodbyrosaisabel), the clever food hack quickly gained over 21 million views, 2.4 million likes, 236,000 saves and 21,000 comments.

Since then, the hack has taken on a life of its own, with TikTokers coming up with their own clever spins on the idea.

Now, much like the shoebox hack that could help families eat for free at water parks and amusement parks, Rosa’s brilliant food hack is going viral.

Rosa’s video — captioned “I can’t stop doing this summer hack” — went mega-viral within just days of being posted.

In it, we see Rosa sitting down on a blanket for a solo picnic on a dock. She then sets down a small flat of strawberries and a whole chocolate bar.

“Open your chocolate bar,” she instructs viewers. “Leave it in the sun for 5-10 minutes until it melts.”

Rosa then grabs a strawberry and dips it into the melted chocolate — and thus, a viral hack was born.

“So you are saying that my ultimate chocolate melting problem every summer can turn out to be something great. I [will] never throw chocolate away again,” commented @nellanella851.

TikTokers were quick to try Rosa’s picnic hack out for themselves.

One user, Mia Buxton (@miaivybuxton), decided to conduct a little experiment by testing out different chocolate bars.

In her video, she opens a milk chocolate and a dark chocolate bar and allows both to sit in the sun for 10 minutes. “Milk melted faster than dark,” she writes. “After 20 mins, both were perfect.”

In the end, she gave the picnic hack a perfect score of 10/10.

Mia wasn’t the only TikToker to do a little experimenting. Rather than dipping strawberries, the TikTok account Very Vegetarian (@veryvegetarian) decided to try out a salty-sweet combo.

TikTokers were immediately obsessed with @veryvegetarian‘s potato chip idea.

“Oh my god how have I never thought of this… thank you,” wrote @lucylocket1001.

“This is genius🏆” commented @fraserriverfinds.

But @veryvegetarian didn’t stop at potato chips — much to the delight of their viewers.

After experimenting with mint Oreos, @veryvegetarian decided to build upon Rosa’s original strawberry idea.

But this time, rather than melting an entire bar of chocolate and dipping the strawberries in it, they tested out a mess-free solution: Cut the strawberries up, put an individual piece of chocolate on each one, and then let the sun melt it.

While the picnic hack has gained millions of collective views, not everyone is on board with the idea.

“If it’s that hot I’m not outside,” wrote @andrealeanne.

“I have a feeling that doing this on a picnic will attract lots of insects,” commented @callmezzzoe23.

To this, TikTok user @elthereal replied, “they make mesh nets that you can put over plates/food for everyone wondering how not to get flies in it.”

While the hack may not be everyone’s cup of tea, it’s at least a clever and waste-free solution for chocolate bars that have accidentally melted in the heat!
