Tip Leads To Arrest Of Fugitive Sex Offender In Lake Area: Police Say He’d Been Hiding For Two Years | Crime & Justice | #childpredator | #kidsaftey | #childsaftey


MORGAN COUNTY, Mo. — Law enforcement arrested a Cole Camp man on five felony warrants out of Morgan and Pettis Counties early Tuesday morning. 

The Fugitive Apprehension Security Team out of Morgan County Sheriff’s Office took Benjamin A. Hagston, 48, into custody on Sept. 5 after it received a tip. Days prior to his arrest, they located Hagston in a secluded area of Benton County.  

Hagston had reportedly been evading capture for over two years. He faces five felony charges, including:

  • Class B Child Molestation, 2nd degree, child less than 12 years of age, out of Morgan County
  • Class B Child Molestation, 2nd degree, child less than 17 years of age, out of Morgan County
  • Enticement or Attempted Enticement of a child, out of Morgan County
  • Statutory Sodomy or attempt Statutory Sodomy – deviate sexual intercourse – person less than 12 years old, out of Pettis County
  • Class A Child Molestation, 1st degree, out of Pettis County
