TIVERTON, R.I. (WLNE) –Rhode Island State Police and the Tiverton Police Department’s Child Safety and Wellness Unit held an event centered around the importance of seatbelt safety.
State police shared photos on social media of kids getting to sit in the front and back seats of police cruisers as officers guided them.
The event is a part of the RI state police’s “Buckle Up Rhode Island” campaign, focusing on the life-saving ability a seatbelt can have in a crash.
