A Hong Kong travel agency which was hit by hackers a week ago finally got its website back up and running on Tuesday.
Package Tours (Hong Kong) said its four branches were also operating as normal again after their computer system was compromised.
The agency said last week that the hackers got access to personal information on 200,000 of its customers when they encrypted the company’s database.
The firm said the cyberattackers demanded a HK$1million ransom to be paid in bitcoins. But the agency said it refused to pay up and the police helped it to unlock the computers.
