TULSA, Okla. – A Tulsa elementary school is closed Thursday due to a safety threat, Tulsa Public Schools officials said.
Tulsa police were at Disney Elementary Thursday morning investigating suspicious circumstances, school district officials said to parents in a message. What the suspicious circumstances were not immediately disclosed.

“We are suspending school for today out of an abundance of caution for our school community,” the message reads. “Safety of our students and families is of the utmost importance. TPD and other authorities are continuing to investigate, and we will provide an update when we have further information.”
Staff and students who were at the school were relocated to a nearby church.
