Two People Face Murder And Theft Charges After Fatal Crash in Cave Junction

GRANTS PASS, Ore. — Thirty-nine year old Renee Edrington and 29-year-old Kyle Forester are facing murder and theft charges for their involvement in the fatal crash two weeks ago. On Monday, they were arraigned in court for numerous charges in a Josephine County Courtroom.

Oregon State Police responded to Highway 199 where they found 39-year-old William Roberts. Investigators said Roberts drifted off the lane and hit a tree. When they took a closer look, they found a gun shot wound in the back of Roberts head.

His wallet, cellphone and hand gun were missing. State troopers went to Edrington’s house, she was armed with a handgun. Investigators believe Edrington and Forester got in a fight with Forester, they followed him, shot him in the back of the head and causing him to crash.

Renee Edrington is being charged with murder, two counts of unlawful use of weapon, failure to perform duties of a driver to injured persons, criminal mischief in the first degree, two counts of theft, identity theft and resisting arrest.

Ky Forester is facing charges of murder, unlawful use of weapon, two counts of theft and identity theft.

Their next court appearance is scheduled for September 15th at 1:00 p.m.
