Two Snyder County men charged for possession of child porn | Crime Reports | #childpredator | #kidsaftey | #childsaftey

Selinsgrove, Pa. — Two Snyder County men were arrested this week on child porn charges after the attorney general’s office conducted an investigation that uncovered pornographic videos the suspects allegedly uploaded to social media accounts.

Brandon Scott Williams, 30, of 3525 N. Old Trail in Shamokin Dam, was taken into custody Wednesday morning on 33 felony charges of child pornography and one felony charge of criminal use of a communication facility.

Timothy David Wolff, 41, of 14 1/2 E. Pine St., Apt. 2, in Selinsgrove, also was taken into custody Wednesday for 32 felony charges of child pornography and one felony charge of criminal use of a communication facility.

The men were charged following an investigation from the Pennsylvania Office of Attorney General’s Child Predator Section. Nicole Whaley, supervisory agent, wrote in the affidavit that she began investigating Williams’s and Wolff’s accounts when she received a cyber tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children on Sept. 19, 2022.

Williams had allegedly uploaded 14 pornographic videos of children between Aug. 31 and Sept. 3, 2022 using messenger on the Kik chat app. The uploads were made under the user name coreybilger with email address [email protected], Whaley wrote. Investigators served subpoenas to Williams’s internet provider as well as Kik, and were able to trace the upload activity to his physical address.

After obtaining a search warrant, special agents from the attorney general’s office and law enforcement went to Williams’s home on Sept. 20.

Williams told investigators he joined groups on Kik and posted pornography of models he found on the internet, Whaley wrote. Williams also admitted to being attracted to girls ages 16 to 17, but claimed he possessed images and videos of children as young as toddlers. Williams allegedly admitted to viewing videos of girls in the age range of 16 to 17 and masturbating to them. Williams had multiple Kik accounts, but all had been shut down due to child pornography, according to Whaley.

Investigators seized several devices from Williams’ home, including a hard drive that contained additional child pornographic videos. At least 25 of the files showed indecent contact with children, Whaley wrote.

That same day, investigators also served a warrant at Wolff’s home in Selinsgrove. Whaley had also found through investigation that Wolff had uploaded at least 13 videos of children engaged in sexual acts using messenger on the Kik app between Aug. 23 and 28, 2022. Wolff allegedly had the user name robinsunshine44 with email address [email protected]. Whaley served subpoenas to Wolff’s internet provider and Kik, and was able to trace the activity back to him.

When law enforcement arrived at Wolff’s home the morning of Sept. 20, they found two Apple iPhones, micro SD cards, and a laptop computer. On one of the iPhones, investigators found at least 35 images of apparent child pornography and seven images of children engaged in sexual acts with children under age 18, Whaley wrote.

The recovered images had been found in an app on the phone called KeepSafe. Special Agent Barlow found folders in the app that contained screenshots of chats and pictures. Some of the chats appeared to be with minors, according to Whaley.

Both Williams and Wolff were arraigned at the office of District Judge Scott A. Zeigler in Selinsgrove, who set bail at $50,000. Wolff posted bail the same day. Williams remains in Snyder County Prison.

Preliminary hearings for Williams and Wolff are scheduled on Sept. 28 at Zeigler’s office.
