A former Loudoun County School Board member is accused of assaulting his fiancee a month after allegedly breaking into his wife’s home.
Eric Joseph DeKenipp, a Republican-endorsed board member from 2016 to October 2018, was arrested on Nov. 17 and charged with misdemeanor assault and battery of a family member. The arrest came after a Leesburg Police Department news release said DeKenipp, 39, fought with another man in a parking lot outside a bar in the 500 block of East Market Street in Leesburg around 2 a.m.
