Use logic when searching for election fraud | #phishing | #scams | #hacking | #aihp

During the Sept. 13 Huron County meeting, commissioners voted to keep the county’s election records for two additional years.

A member of the We the County group spoke during the meeting, showing his appreciation for the decision by the commissioners and arguing that there was widespread voting fraud during the 2020 election.

Firstly, no there wasn’t.

Sure, there have been plenty of conspiracy theorists who will tell you differently, including our former president, but there is not one study, investigation, anything to show that those claims are accurate.

Secondly, what would be the point in recounting ballots in Huron County? Trump won here by a landslide! He received more than double the votes that Biden did, 11,949-5,349. If there was voter fraud here in Huron County in favor of Biden, they didn’t do a very good job. It wasn’t even close.

And that’s the thing, if you use actual logic to understand how the results turned out, it becomes very obvious what happened, regardless of which side you are on. Many Democrats were in favor of absentee voting, and the Republicans wouldn’t allow votes to be counted in advance of election day. As a result, early numbers showed more in favor of Republicans because a larger percentage of those voting in person were Republicans. As the absentee votes were counted later in the evening and in the following days, the Democratic numbers increased because there were far more Democrats than Republicans voting absentee.

It’s just not hard to understand, and I’m not sure why, almost two years later, people still aren’t grasping it. Whether you like Joe Biden or you don’t, he managed to scrape enough people together to win the 2020 election, and Trump did not. We have, for the most part, accepted the results of every election up to now, why are we struggling so much with this one?

It’s certainly an unhealthy narrative heading into the upcoming mid-term election.

So I ask, those of you who believe our system is faulty, who believe there was voter fraud, how do you propose fixing it? And what can we possibly do to get you to have confidence in the system again?

Because there have been recounts and studies and investigations, and they’ve all turned out the same results — there was not widespread voter fraud. Many people who worked for Trump, within the White House, will say the same thing. So if that won’t work, what will?

Our entire government is built around us electing a president fairly and accepting the results. Our government cannot function without those things happening. So how do we fix it? How do we become less divided as a country?

I used to enjoy elections. I always found it interesting to see who would run a more effective campaign, who would end up in power, and who would not. After the last two presidential elections, I’m dreading the next one.

Even though social media tells me it won’t be the case, I really hope people will use logic this November when the results are announced, and accept the winners, and losers, with grace.
