Plan, implement, upgrade and monitor security measures related to computer networks and virtualization. Develop plans and implement systems and procedures to effectively secure company information, virtual infrastructure, intellectual property, and users against accidental or unauthorized modification, destruction or disclosure. Work autonomously in an area of specialization to analyze internal and customer security, and design and implement virtual security architecture leveraging VMware product and service solutions for obtaining best results. Define and design virtualization security solutions and complete installation, configuration, and testing to ensure appropriate security controls are in place to safeguard digital files and virtual infrastructure. Understand business and technical objectives and product security requirements, and develop effective security solutions. Monitor use of virtual data to safeguard information and reports of computer viruses/intrusions to determine when to update security systems. Exercise discretion within defined practices and procedures in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions. In connection with the above duties, apply knowledge and/or skills of Cloud Infrastructure & Networking – Data Center Design, Network Architecture, Network Design, Virtualization, and Security; virtual networking components VSG and 1000V; network and security troubleshooting; virtualization/cloud; end-to-end design, implementation and migration of firewalls for data centers; penetration testing and vulnerability scanning tools; configuring and implementing composite network models, routers and switches.
