Police have warned about an “astronomical” increase in cybercrime, with new figures showing West Aussies have lost a staggering $125 million to heartless scammers in just the past year.
The shocking amount of money being lost and the increasing number of scams being reported have prompted one of the State’s most senior detectives to issue an impassioned plea urging the public not to fall victim to con artists.
