WASHINGTON COUNTY, Okla. (KTUL) — The Washington County Sheriff’s Department is warning people to check their bank accounts after a number of people reported being hacked.
Deputies say they have had a number of people report having experienced issues with their bank accounts being compromised.
Some of the hacking victims have open accounts at Arvest Bank and Truity Credit Union, but officials warn there could be victims who use other banks.
Residents in the area are advised to check all of their financial accounts to make sure they have not been compromised.
Additionally, deputies advise that you can call the toll free number on the back of your debit or credit card at any time to report any issues.
