West Allis plans to shut down the popular haunted house Novak Manor next year. The city said the house at 98th Street and Montana Avenue has a special event permit allowing people to block the right of way and view the house from the street.The permit does not allow Novak Manor to have visitors inside the house.According to the Novak Manor website, all tour proceeds go to the group Bikers Advocating Child Safety.The city said they got a complaint about the house Sunday.”Now, we understand this holiday isn’t for everybody, and that’s OK. But we do truly try to make sure that we are as respectful as possible to our neighbors,” Patty Novak said. The city said it will work with the owners of Novak Manor to keep it in the community.
