
A New Hampshire man who is a convicted sex offender and white supremacist was arrested Saturday on a parole warrant, according to authorities.Christopher Palermo, 47, of Danbury, was taken into custody at about 1:20 p.m. in Wilmot by local police and state troopers at a home on Kearsarge Valley Road.The U.S. Marshals Service said after Palermo’s arrest, firearms were found on the premises. Palermo is a felon as a result of being convicted in 2012 for aggravated felonious sexual assault on a minor. As a result, he is prohibited from carrying a firearm and must register as a sex offender.Information by multiple U.S. Marshals sources indicated that Palermo was in possession of firearms, and a sex offender registration search showed that he never reported to a New Hampshire State Police station to perform his initial sex offender registration once he was released from jail earlier this year.The arrest marks the end of a weekslong investigation initiated by the New Hampshire Department of Corrections and overseen by the U.S. Marshals Services’ New Hampshire Joint Fugitive Task Force.According to authorities, Palermo is tied to the Brother of the White Warrior prison gang. He is also a member of an undisclosed motorcycle gang and he visibly displays Nazi and neo-Nazi symbols, such as swastikas, on his body, the U.S. Marshals Service said.
