Wilmington man charged with stealing disabled man’s ID to open Comcast account

A Wilmington man is charged with identity theft for allegedly using a disabled man’s identity to open a cable TV account.

The victim’s wife called them after she found out her husband’s name had been used to open an account with Comcast, New Castle County Police said.

Officers learned the victim’s caregiver, Jerome Broomer, used the victim’s name and birth date to open the account about 8 months ago.

Police took Broomer into custody Sunday
