Apache Junction experienced flooded roads, lightning and dangerous driving conditions as monsoon rain hit Thursday night. Video showed standing water rushing across roads near Mountain View Road and Broadway Avenue. A flash flood warning was in effect until 9:45 p.m. Crews urged drivers to stay home if possible and follow the warning: Turn around, don’t drown. More rain chances were expected overnight and into the morning.
