KERRVILLE, Texas – 18 people have been arrested after a months-long undercover mission, during which multiple people were accused of sex crimes against minors.
The Kerr County Sheriff’s Office executed a months-long undercover mission where investigators talked with many people online who believed they were speaking with children.
A total of 18 people were taken into custody: Jeremy Joe Lortie, 46, from Kerrville; Rodrigo Mejia Martinez, 38, from Mountain Home; Alvaro Huerta, 30, from Kerrville; Rex Keith Herl, 55, from Ingram; Travis Jackson, 63, from Ingram; Jeremiah Michael Welch, 41, from Fair Oaks Ranch; Ahren Lee Bell, 49, from Fredericksburg; Scott Allen Sachs, 69, from Kerrville; Jeremiah William McLaughlin, 38, from Kerrville; Garrett S. Brown, 35, from Kerrville; Jimmy Alcorta, 53, from Kerrville; Andy West Moore, 47, from Mountain Home; Michael Edwards Saur, 43, from Kerrville; Chance Austin Eaton, 30, from Ingram; Fred W. Stephenson, 67, from Kerrville; Matthew Hayden Clark, 26, from Kerrville; Carl Dean Stewart, 66, from Center Point; and Ricky Navarro, 37, from Kerrville.
They are all currently in jail, with bonds ranging from $20,000 to over $200,000.
