AURORA, Colo. (KKTV) – A multi-agency child predator operation resulted in the arrests of two men, according to the Aurora Police Department (APD).
Police said 39-year-old Gregory Thomas Daniels was arrested on April 2 after traveling to Aurora for what he thought was a planned sexual encounter with a minor.
Daniels was booked into the Aurora Municipal Detention Center on charges of internet luring of a child and attempted sexual assault of a child.
On Tuesday, police arrested 68-year-old Ralph Edward Bledsoe after he arrived at an Aurora hotel for what he also thought was a planned sexual encounter with a minor.
Bledsoe was booked into the Detention Center on charges of internet luring of a child, internet sexual exploitation of a child and attempted sexual assault of a child.
Detectives reportedly learned that Bledsoe may have had past sexual relationships with minors in Denver, Pennsylvania and Phoenix. Bledsoe is an airline pilot, and investigators believe he flew from Canada for the meeting.
Police also found several gifts Bledsoe sent ahead of the meeting, including lingerie and sex toys.
Investigators are reportedly interested in speaking with anyone who might know about Bledsoe’s travels, illegal activity or possible victims in other cities.
Anyone with any information on either of these suspects is asked to contact Metro Denver Crime Stoppers at 720-913-7867. Tipsters can remain anonymous and could be eligible for a reward of up to $2,000.
Both investigations are active and ongoing.
The joint operation reportedly involved resources from APD, Longmont Police Department, Homeland Security Investigations, the Colorado Bureau of Investigation, the Boulder County Computer Forensics Lab and the Boulder County District Attorney’s Office.
