CROCKETT COUNTY, Tenn. (WBBJ) – Two more arrests have been made as the investigation continues into egregious crimes committed against a juvenile. The investigation is led by Lt. Blake Perry with the Crockett County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Division.
Timothy Vales, age 39, from Alamo, TN, has been charged with continuous sexual abuse of a child, aggravated rape of a child, and two counts of rape of a child. Denise Vales, age 34, from Alamo, TN, has been charged with facilitation of rape of a child and child abuse. Both were taken to the Crockett County Jail on Tuesday. The U.S. Marshals Service assisted with the arrests. One suspect was taken into custody at home and the other at work.
U.S. Marshal Tyreece Miller said, “Every community is safer when a child predator is off the streets. The men and women of the U.S. Marshals Service stand ready to assist our local partners in the apprehension of those who prey on the most vulnerable among us – our children.”
These arrests follow the July 24, 2026, arrests of Jason Cooper Powell and Kendrick Brown in connection with this same investigation.
Powell was charged with two or more counts of aggravated statutory rape and 38 additional counts of aggravated sexual exploitation of a minor. Brown was charged with one count of rape and 19 counts of aggravated sexual exploitation of a minor.
“There is no more important work this office does than protecting the children of Crockett County,” said Sheriff Troy N. Klyce. “Lt. Perry and our Criminal Investigation Division have pursued this case with relentless determination, and they will continue to do so until every person responsible is held accountable.”
A search warrant is being executed, additional search warrants are forthcoming, and additional evidence will be presented in court.

As with any pre-conviction arrest, these charges are allegations, and all individuals are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law. The identities of juvenile victims are protected by law.
