THE Philippine National Police Anti-Cybercrime Group (PNP-ACG) arrested 26 individuals for various violations of the cybercrime law during operations from Aug. 3 to 9, 2025.
In a news release over the weekend, ACG Director Brig. Gen. Bernard Yang said that of those arrested, 18 were caught in entrapment operations, while eight were wanted persons tracked down in separate anti-cybercrime efforts.
One victim was rescued and a child in conflict with the law was taken into custody, the report added.
Yang said the PNP-ACG had secured convictions for two suspects in
cybercrime-related cases.
The weeklong operations resulted in the service of 22 cyber warrants, the filing of 34 cases and 15 inquest proceedings.
Throughout the week, the PNP-ACG conducted 357 cyber patrols and 18 digital forensic examinations. / PNA
