SHREVEPORT/BOSSIER CITY, La. (KTAL/KMSS) – The Shreveport Police Department (SPD), in partnership with the Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force, helped arrest three individuals as part of a state operation.

SPD arrests man suspected of fatal Easter shooting

An operation was conducted following training to identify and apprehend individuals allegedly engaged in the online exploitation of minors.

John Fletcher and Mark Longino were arrested by Shreveport Police ICAC investigators, while George Simmons was arrested through the combined efforts of the SPD, Bossier Parish Sheriff’s Office (BPSO), and Bossier City Police Department (BCPD).

All three individuals face charges of Indecent Behavior with a Juvenile and Computer Solicitation of a Minor. The operation is ongoing, and additional suspects are expected to be arrested.

The initiative was led by the Louisiana Bureau of Investigations and Attorney General Liz Murrill and included the SPD, BPSO, BCPD, Pineville Police Department, Minden Police Department, Ruston Police Department, Livingston Parish Sheriff’s Office, Bienville Parish Sheriff’s Office, and Homeland Security Investigations (HSI).

“The Shreveport Police Department commends the dedication and collaborative efforts of all agencies involved,” a press release stated. “These cases require extensive investigative work and a commitment to protecting the most vulnerable members of our community. The Shreveport Police Department remains steadfast in its mission to identify, investigate, and arrest those who seek to exploit children.”
