Five people face charges after a sting operation targeting child sex predators in Morgan County.
The Morgan County Sheriff’s Office says they launched Operation Spring Sting on Saturday and Sunday. Authorities say those arrested during the operation interacted with an undercover agent posing as a minor.
The sheriff’s office says the suspects traveled to meet with a decoy they were informed was a minor. When they arrived, they were then arrested by investigators.
“Protecting our children and targeting those who would prey on them is an ongoing focus for our agency,” said Morgan County Sheriff Ron Puckett. “These operations continue to succeed in rooting out individuals who are willing to engage in sexual activity with a minor. It is not easy to enter into the realm of child sex predators, but I am thankful for our team that is willing to do so to protect children.”
