Five people were arrested Thursday when the Washington County Sheriff’s Office conducted a child predator sting.

Investigators posed as children on dating apps, social media sites and other places online. People offered to meet up for sex with these fake profiles who they believed to be a child. When the people showed up to the meetings, they were arrested.

Raymi Calla-McFarlane, 24, of Portland; Karl Bawden, 45, of Hillsboro; Glen Guthrie, 65, of Gladstone; Josue Romero-Lopez, 25, of Beaverton; and David Vichi, 49, of Wallowa were arrested for luring a minor and online sexual corruption of a child.

The sheriff’s office believes that there are more victims of the five arrested people and ask anyone with information to call them at 503-846-2700.

Vichi had been under investigation by the Hillsboro Police Department since early April when a minor came forward with information about inappropriate contact from him, the sheriff’s office said in a news release.

The Beaverton Police Department assisted with the sting.
