A total of 53 companies in Japan have suffered attacks by a ransomware group known as Qilin that operates internationally, National Police Agency officials said Thursday.
The Japanese government, meanwhile, decided to warn businesses to take thorough steps to tackle system vulnerabilities amid a series of reports on data leakage due to unauthorized access, the country’s cybersecurity minister said.
