A 54 year old Moscow man arrested during an online sting operation has been sent to prison for child enticement.
Steven Fisher was arrested by the Latah County Sheriff’s Office in March. A sheriff’s detective posed as a 14 year old girl on Facebook. Fisher began messaging the fake profile and tried to entice what he thought was an underage girl into sexual activity.
Fisher pleaded guilty in June in Latah County Second District Court to felony enticing a child through the internet. Judge Megan Marshall sentenced fisher on Tuesday to between three and 15 years in prison. He will be eligible for parole after three years. Judge Marshall retained jurisdiction in this case and will review the sentence in one year.
