LIVINGSTON PARISH, La. (WAFB) – Officials say an alleged gang member involved in human trafficking and an LSU student are among the nine men Livingston Parish deputies arrested as part of a child sexual predator investigation.

According to the Livingston Parish Sheriff’s Office, the men facing charges for indecent behavior with juveniles on social media include: Kevin Hamby, Shengjie Cheng, Kleider Enrique Garcia-Ochoa, Cameron Varnado, Anthony Farr Junior, Matthew Totaro, Tytus Miles, Devin Alipio, and Matthew Traub.

9 LPSO arrests(LPSO)

“In the months of March and April of 2025, detectives with the Livingston Parish Sheriff’s Office ICAC (Internet Crimes Against Children) Task Force—along with the assistance of the Louisiana Bureau of Investigations/Attorney General’s Office, the Homeland Security Investigations (HSI), the Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office, Covington Police Department and Ouachita Parish Sheriff’s Office—were able to proactively initiate investigations into NINE (9) different individuals on various social media platforms,” said Sheriff Jason Ard.

Arrests

1. Kevin Hamby, 31 (Fencing Company)

Denham Springs, Louisiana

– One count of Indecent Behavior with a Juvenile (Felony)

– One count of Computer Aided Solicitation of a Minor (Felony)

*Previous sexual offense arrest with a minor*

2. Shengjie Cheng, 32 (Louisiana State University Student)

Baton Rouge, Louisiana

– One count of Indecent Behavior with a Juvenile (Felony)

– One count of Computer Aided Solicitation of a Minor (Felony)

*Shengjie Cheng is a Chinese National and currently has an ICE hold

3. Kleider Enrique Garcia-Ochoa, 29

Walker, Louisiana

– One count of Indecent Behavior with a Juvenile (Felony)

– One count of Computer Aided Solicitation of a Minor (Felony)

*Known Tren De Aragua gang member involved with human trafficking, according to LPSO

Kleider Enrique Garcia-Ochoa is a Venezuelan National and currently has an ICE hold

4. Cameron Varnado, 27

Amite, Louisiana

– One count of Indecent Behavior with a Juvenile (Felony)

– One count of Computer Aided Solicitation of a Minor (Felony)

5. Anthony Farr Junior, 31

Little Rock, Arkansas

– One count of Indecent Behavior with a Juvenile (Felony)

– One count of Computer Aided Solicitation of a Minor (Felony)

6. Matthew Totaro, 36

Metairie, Louisiana

– One count of Indecent Behavior with a Juvenile (Felony)

– One count of Computer Aided Solicitation of a Minor (Felony)

* Registered sex offender*

7. Tytus Miles, 34

Livingston, Louisiana

– One count of Indecent Behavior with a Juvenile (Felony)

– One count of Computer Aided Solicitation of a Minor (Felony)

8. Devin Alipio, 25

Denham Springs, Louisiana

– One count of Indecent Behavior with a Juvenile (Felony)

– One count of Computer Aided Solicitation of a Minor (Felony)

* Brought a loaded gun inside the sting house, according to LPSO

9. Matthew Traub, 25 (Plumbing Apprentice)

Metairie, Louisiana

– One count of Indecent Behavior with a Juvenile (Felony)

– One count of Computer Aided Solicitation of a Minor (Felony)

– One count of Possession of Marijuana Under 14 grams

– One count of Contributing to the Delinquency of Juveniles (Felony)

  • Be in your kid’s business
