Ingram Micro has made significant progress in restoring its transactional and ordering functions online with additional safeguards on its network, following a global ransomware incident.

On 5 July, Ingram Micro identified ransomware on its internal systems and took steps to secure the relevant environment, including proactively taking certain systems offline and implementing mitigation measures.

Subscription orders including renewals and modifications are available globally and are being processed centrally via the distributor’s support organisation.

Orders can now be processed via phone or email from the UK, Germany, France, Italy, Portugal, Spain, Nordics, Brazil, India, Singapore, China, Austria, and Canada as well as countries supported by its Miami Export business.

Some limitations still exist with hardware and other technology orders, which will be clarified as orders are placed Ingram said in a statement.

The distributor can now receive and process orders for hardware and other technologies via phone or email in the United States.
