KANSAS CITY, Kan. (KCTV) – Two Kansans face federal charges after a nationwide operation rescued 205 children and arrested 293 offenders.
The Justice Department announced results on Friday, Dec. 19, of Operation Relentless Justice – a 2-week crackdown coordinated by the FBI, Child Exploitation and Obscenity Section and U.S. Attorney’s Offices.
Kansas arrests
In the District of Kansas, the U.S. Attorney’s Office revealed that there were two arrests made to accompany federal charges for their crimes:
- Diana V. Brown, 46, of Topeka, was indicted on 4 counts of production of child sexual abuse material and a single count of possession of child sexual abuse material.
- Reese C. Pack, 25, formerly of Ottawa, was arrested on a fugitive warrant after he was previously indicted on 2 counts of production of child sexual abuse material, coercion and enticement of a minor, receiving child sexual abuse material and possession of child sexual abuse material.
Both defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
‘We will not stop’
“We have to protect the most vulnerable in our society,” said U.S. Attorney Ryan A. Kriegshauser. “We will not stop pursuing justice for our children and fighting to end the scourge of child exploitation. This work will continue to be a major priority of my office.”
Attorney General Pamela Bondi said federal agents worked alongside state and local partners to track down the offenders.
“We will not allow evil criminals who prey on children to evade justice,” said Attorney General Pamela Bondi. “Our federal agents have worked tirelessly alongside our state and local partners to track down these vile predators, and now our prosecutors will ensure they receive severe punishments to match their horrific crimes.”
Nationwide operation targets online predators
Those arrested nationwide are alleged to have committed various crimes, including production, distribution and possession of child sexual abuse material; online enticement and transportation of minors and child sex trafficking, according to agents.
Notable arrests include:
- An airman in Dallas was arrested with his wife for producing child sexual abuse material
- A police officer from Raleigh who allegedly distributed child sexual abuse material to an undercover officer while discussing his interest in engaging in sexual contact with children
- A Guatemalan national arrested in Miami for enticement of a minor who was previously deported in 2011 and had previous arrests for battery, disorderly conduct, resisting arrest and carrying a concealed weapon

Rising sextortion cases
As sextortion cases continue to rise, investigators said the operation highlights arrests of individuals who target vulnerable children online. This includes:
- 5 leaders of “Greggy’s Cult.”
- A Virginia man who allegedly persuaded a 14-year-old to produce child sexual abuse material. The victim attempted suicide after he allegedly told her to kill herself.
Part of ongoing effort
Operation Relentless Justices follows two other successful operations this year:
- Operation Restore Justice resulted in the rescue of 115 children and arrests of 205 child sexual abuse offenders, including 2 from Kansas
- Operation Enduring Justice resulted in the rescue of 133 children and arrests of 234 offenders, including 2 from Kansas
Victim services available
The FBI’s Victim Services Division said it aided victims during the operation and provided services like interviews, referrals for medical and mental health resources and coordination with partner agencies.
