SHASTA COUNTY, Calif. – During March, the Major Crimes Unit of the Shasta County Sheriff’s Office conducted an undercover operation aimed at identifying potential child predators.
Detectives say they targeted individuals communicating with who they believed to be minors and the operation led to felony arrest warrants for three men.
Authorities say Robert Murrell, 45, of Shingletown, was charged with communicating with a minor with sexual intent.
Shasta County Sheriff’s Officials say Chase Barnett, 34, of Redding, is facing charges for communicating with a minor with sexual intent and arranging a meeting.
Authorities say Christian Constantino, 37, of Oak Run, was charged with sending harmful material, communicating with a minor with sexual intent, and arranging to meet with a minor.
SCSO says Constantino also arrived at a location to meet with a minor, resulting in an additional charge for his actions.
Detectives served search and arrest warrants on Thursday and all three men were booked into Shasta County Jail with bail set at $50,000 each.
