Anderson County detectives have charged 11 suspects in an undercover operation aimed at identifying child predators online.Detectives, along with the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force (ICAC), posed as young children online to identify suspects who were willing to sexually exploit them within chatrooms.The targeted effort deemed “Operation Hightower” resulted in more than 15 suspects identified. Of those, 11 have been officially charged and arrested.Detectives said four of the suspects was willing to travel to a child, but instead met Anderson County Sheriff’s Office deputies.Detectives highlighted one case where they said 40-year-old Jeffrey Miles agreed to meet a parent and her four-year-old daughter and offered to pay to sexually assault the toddler.The sheriff’s office said the four-day operation rounded up local suspects as well as some in Oklahoma and Mississippi.
