SHASTA COUNTY, Calif. – Shasta County deputies arrested a registered sex offender during a child predator operation. The Major Crimes Unit targeted Joshua Levan, 39 of Round Mountain, in the operation.
The unit posed as a 13-year-old girl online. Investigators said Levan was arrested as he arrived at an agreed-upon location where he thought he was going to have sex with a minor.
A search warrant was also served at his home on Terry Mill Road in Round Mountain. His children were placed into temporary custody with children’s services.
Levan is being held on $200,000 bail.
