Apple has declared that they have a clean record on spyware attacks against any of its devices that are in Lockdown Mode. Lockdown mode is a security feature you can opt into to protect your device, introduced by Apple back in 2022.
The feature is available for the Mac, iPhone, and iPad; it significantly restricts specific system features that are usually exploited by spyware and malicious things, turning on the option blocks specific web techs, attachment types, and the majority of attachment message types.

There are 2 cases confirmed by Citizen Lab researchers where spyware attacks were blocked by Lockdown Mode. Many spyware attacks were conducted by Citizen Lab, but not one has passed Lockdown Mode. A cybersecurity expert at Apple, Patrick Wardle, claims that it may be safe to declare that Lockdown Mode may be one of the most aggressive features for consumers.
