ECTOR COUNTY, Texas (KMID/KPEJ)- An Ector County man was arrested earlier this week after investigators said a ten-year-old girl made an outcry that she’d been sexually abused over the course of about eight years. Ever Alejandro Urueta has been charged with one count of continuous sexual abuse of a child under the age of 14.

According to a probable cause affidavit, in late March, investigators with the Ector County Sheriff’s Office were alerted after a child made an outcry and said she’d been sexually abused and raped by Urueta in her home repeatedly since 2018. The child was given a forensic interview where she said that the abuse began when she was three or four years old and the young girl give explicit details about the nature of the abuse.
At the conclusion of an investigation, detectives requested a warrant for the arrest of Urueta, and he was taken into custody on April 7. He remained in the Ector County Law Enforcement Center as of April 9 on a $200,000 bond.
