LAKE CITY, Fla. (WCJB) — Two people face charges after Lake City police conducted an undercover operation to catch online child predators.
Police say Joseph Anderson, 25, of Chiefland, and Robert Smith, 38, of Fort White, tried to arrange to meet with underage girls. They were communicating with undercover detectives.
Anderson was arrested on Monday, and Smith was taken into custody on Tuesday. Officers say the men both engaged in sexually explicit conversations before arranging the meetings.
