Alan Bryson-Sword repeatedly preyed on his first victim and subjected a second youth to attacks on two occasions.
Bryson-Sword (49) formerly of Laird’s Hill, Eyemouth, had denied a series of charges during an earlier trial at the High Court in Edinburgh.
A judge told him before sentencing: “The jury convicted you of three charges of sexual misconduct towards two teenagers.”
Judge John Morris KC said the two most serious charges involved “serious sexual abuse” of two young victims.
Bryson-Sword assaulted his first victim on various occasions between September 2013 and August 2017 at locations in Dundee and Berwickshire and repeatedly raped him.
The victim was 14 when the abuse began and during it Bryson-Sword molested him and exposed himself.
He struck again in June 2023 when he attacked a second victim, who was aged 17, at a house in the Borders, pushed him to the ground and raped him.
He had earlier sexually assaulted the second victim in 2021 when he repeatedly touched his leg and genitals at an address in the region.
Defence solicitor advocate Ewen Roy told the High Court in Edinburgh: “He recognises a lengthy sentence is inevitable given the jury’s verdict and the serious nature of the charges.”
Mr Roy said that Bryson-Sword had had a good childhood and went on to have a “long, settled relationship” as an adult.
He said he also had a good employment record and participated in volunteer work.
The defence solicitor advocate said the offender planned to take any courses available to him while serving his sentence.
The judge told Bryson-Sword, who followed the proceedings via a TV link to prison on Tuesday (April 14), that he would be placed on the sex offenders register indefinitely.
He also made non-harassment orders banning the offender from contacting or attempting to contact victims.
