Destin, FL – A late night incident at a Florida water park resulted in arrests after deputies responded to reports of unauthorized entry at the property.

According to the Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were dispatched to Big Kahuna’s Water and Adventure Park in Destin after an alarm was triggered at the closed facility.

When law enforcement arrived, several individuals were seen inside the park and fled the scene, leading to a search effort involving multiple units.

Authorities used additional resources, including a drone, to assist in locating those involved.

Deputies were able to detain three teenagers, identified as two 15-year-olds and one 17-year-old.

Investigators allege the group entered the property without permission during overnight hours.

According to information from the arrest report, deputies allege the teens broke into the park and took items from inside, including ice cream.

Officials also allege the individuals recorded the incident using a camera, with the intent of posting the footage on social media platforms.

The three teens were taken into custody and are facing charges related to burglary.

Authorities indicated that the investigation remains active and that additional individuals could be identified as the case develops.

No injuries were reported during the incident, and officials have not released further details regarding property damage or additional stolen items.
