Techzine reported on April 22 that Google Cloud and security company Wiz confirmed at the annual Cloud Next 2026 event a direction to position Wiz as a core player in the multi-cloud security arena.
The most notable announcement at the event was an expansion of the Wiz Security Graph.
Through it, Wiz added support for Databricks and agent studios including AWS AgentCore, the Gemini Enterprise agent platform, Microsoft Azure Copilot Studio and Salesforce Agentforce. With the integration, security risks scattered across multiple development environments can be identified in a single security graph.
It was also integrated with Cloudflare, Akamai, Vercel and Google Cloud Apigee.
Existing web applications were built around people accessing them through a browser. In the AI era, applications often communicate directly with AI agents and exchange data without people in between. Wiz explained that because the paths and methods attackers can use to penetrate systems have changed, existing security methods are hard to apply and a new security approach is needed.
Ahead of Cloud Next, Wiz announced at RSAC 2026, a global security event, the AI application protection platform AI-APP and Wiz Security Agents made up of Red Agent, Blue Agent and Green Agent. It also announced Wiz Workflows, a security process automation hub.
Francis deSouza (프랜시스 데수자), Google Cloud COO and president of security products, said, “Google Cloud is the only infrastructure company that can even call itself a security company.” He stressed that Google Cloud also has its own security operations platform and incident response and threat intelligence capabilities through its acquisition of Mandiant.
