BRIDGEPORT, W.Va. – An investigation is underway into the cause of a cybersecurity incident that has affected Harrison County government offices.
The Harrison County Commission has confirmed that a cybersecurity incident that impacted some network systems was identified late Friday.
The county is not able to confirm specific details but some systems will be unable to perform all requested services out of an abundance of caution. External cybersecurity experts are assisting with the incident, and law enforcement has been notified as well.
The county adds that it will share more information as it becomes available.
