Authorities allege Jackson engaged in unlawful online communications involving a minor and was found in possession of illegal material during the investigation.

He was taken into custody without incident and booked into the Williamson County Jail, according to the release.

The sheriff’s office said its Organized Crime Unit continues working to identify and apprehend those involved in crimes against children and online exploitation.

The agency also urged parents and guardians to monitor children’s online activity, including social media, gaming platforms and messaging apps, and to have ongoing conversations about internet safety and online predators.

“Our office is dedicated to keeping community members informed on what is happening in our county … and, most importantly, ensuring the children of Williamson County are safe and well protected,” Sheriff Lindemann said.
