Waterbridge Elementary School, Orlando, Florida
AAA surprised an Orlando school counselor with the news that she had been named both the Florida and National AAA School Safety Patrol Advisor of the Year, capturing a joyful, emotional reaction on camera. The honor is part of AAA’s 2025–2026 Florida School Safety Patrol Awards, which also recognize an outstanding student patroller for leadership and commitment to keeping classmates safe.
The AAA School Safety Patrol® program is the nation’s largest safety program for school-aged children, with more than 679,000 student patrollers in 35,000 schools nationwide.
This year’s top honorees were selected from one of the most competitive applicant pools of advisors and patrollers in more than a decade, highlighting the continued strength and impact of the AAA School Safety Patrol® program across Florida.
2025-2026 Florida & National AAA School Safety Patrol Advisor of the Year
Stephanie Carrington, a school counselor and dedicated AAA School Safety Patrol Advisor, has been named both the Florida and National AAA School Safety Patrol Advisor of the Year. AAA representatives surprised Carrington with this award, and her genuine reaction was captured on video and her comments that followed.
Carrington was recognized for her leadership, growing the program, strengthening student safety for more than 500 schoolchildren, and building meaningful community partnerships. She volunteered her personal time to coordinate and lead a partnership with the Orange County Sheriff’s Office Crime Prevention Unit, including conducting a “Wheels and Heels” safety audit as well as securing the distribution of 40 free, custom-fitted helmets for bicycle and scooter riders, which ensured students were protected regardless of financial barriers.
Her words below capture the spirit of her leadership and clearly reflect why she was selected as the top Advisor for not only the state of FL, but nationwide.
“The AAA School Safety Patrol program is a powerful bridge between childhood and citizenship,” Carrington said. “While students help ensure safe hallways and smooth arrivals and dismissals, the deeper work happening is internal. They are learning responsibility, empathy, perseverance, and courage. They are learning what it truly means to serve.”
Carrington’s “whole-child” approach continues to shape confident, compassionate student leaders and reflects the very best of the AAA School Safety Patrol.
“Mrs. Carrington is an excellent representative of the AAA School Safety Patrol program and the foundational values it stands for,” said Michele Harris, Florida Public Affairs Director for AAA – The Auto Club Group.
2025-2026 Florida AAA School Safety Patroller of the Year

Tuttle Elementary School, Sarasota, Florida
Noah Moise, a remarkable 5th grader, student leader, and Safety Patrol Captain at Tuttle Elementary School, was selected as Florida’s 2025-2026 AAA School Safety Patroller of the Year for his exceptional leadership, initiative, and commitment to others.
Chosen by his peers as Patrol Captain, Moise leads by example every day – arriving early, taking responsibility for key duties like attendance, flag protocols, training new patrollers, and stepping up to lead even in the absence of adult supervision. What makes Moise stand out is not just his reliability, but his ability to advocate for others, communicate with confidence and respect, and create a supportive environment where his peers feel comfortable learning and growing.
His impact extends beyond his patrol duties. Moise consistently demonstrates a strong safety mindset, whether by helping students safely navigate drop-off and dismissal areas, modeling expectations during school drills, or using clear communication to keep others focused and safe.
Equally impressive is Moise’s well-rounded involvement and character. A straight-A student and leader in multiple school activities, he pairs academic excellence with a genuine commitment to service by supporting school events, volunteering in his community, and stepping in whenever help is needed.
“Ultimately, Noah was selected for this honor because he exemplifies the highest standards of leadership, service and character. He embodies the core values upon which the AAA School Safety Patrol program was founded,” Harris said.
Moise uniquely demonstrates a rare combination of responsibility, empathy, and selflessness, consistently putting the safety and well-being of others ahead of his own.
“Always thinking of others and lifting those around him up, his selfless nature and natural instinct to lead with respect and care are what truly set him apart,” Harris said.
A Legacy of Safety and Leadership
For more than a century, the AAA School Safety Patrol® program has helped students develop lifelong leadership skills while promoting traffic safety in their communities. In Florida alone, the program reaches thousands of students each year, empowering them to serve as role models and safety advocates in their schools.
“The AAA School Safety Patrol program plays a vital role in helping students grow into confident leaders while making their school communities safer,” said Harris. “We are incredibly proud of this year’s winners and the positive example they set for others.”
