NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) – Meta announced it is expanding its content settings for teen accounts across Facebook, Instagram, Messenger and WhatsApp.
The company says it is blocking young users from viewing inappropriate content on their Facebook pages. Teens also won’t be allowed to interact with certain groups, events, profiles and pages on the social media site.
The changes come more than two months after a jury in Los Angeles found the company, along with YouTube, negligent in designing apps that were harmful to children by leading them into social media addiction.
