Informed by National Priorities and Directives
CESER’s RD&D program aligns with the National Cybersecurity Strategy, as well as DOE’s Multiyear Plan for Energy Sector Cybersecurity, which follows the sector’s vision of resilient energy delivery control systems designed, installed, operated, and maintained to withstand a cyber incident while sustaining critical functions.
Transition to Practice
CESER moves innovative research to industry-ready solutions using a strategic mix of RD&D that focuses on both shorter-term RD&D with a high probability of rapid market readiness and game-changing RD&D that supports next-generation cyber system designs. These products are commercialized, released as guidance or open-source software, or adopted into ongoing research to develop new capabilities that help the energy sector achieve its vision of energy delivery systems that can prevent or withstand a cyberattack.
CESER’s Risk Management Tools and Technologies (RMT) division leads the cybersecurity RD&D programs that make game-changing tools and technologies for the energy sector possible. Read the latest report, “From Innovation to Practice: The CESER RMT Program’s Real World Impact on Energy Sector Cybersecurity,” to learn about 50 transitioned and emerging solutions that came as a result of CESER’s investments.
