The agency urged clients, stakeholders, and the public to disregard any posts, comments, messages, or other information originating from the compromised account until further notice.
“Please be informed that the Facebook account DA RAFIS Cordillera has been hacked/compromised and is no longer under the control of our office,” the advisory stated.
DA-CAR said it has established a new official Facebook page, DA CAR Info Hub, where the public can access verified information, official announcements, updates, and responses to inquiries.
The agency encouraged the public to follow and rely only on the new page for official communications while efforts are underway to address the security breach.
No details were immediately provided on when the account was compromised or whether any unauthorized posts had been made through the account.
DA-CAR thanked the public for its understanding and continued support and reminded users to remain vigilant against misinformation and suspicious online activity./coa
