OCALA, Fla. (WCJB) – Fathers, coaches, teachers, illegal and legal immigrants and even a high school student were arrested after a week-long undercover operation targeting child sex predators.
The Marion County Sheriff’s Office partnered with different agencies to conduct ‘Operation Bad Habits.’ The sting resulted in the arrests of 52 people.
Detectives posed as children online, ranging in ages 7 to 15 years old. The predators attempted to arrange a meeting with what they thought were children for sex.
Several predators were also charged with human trafficking after they tried to “purchase” children for sex.
