A convicted molester from California was arrested Saturday morning in Scottsdale after he had been on the run for 10 months, authorities said.
Carl W. Cacconie was apprehended without incident at about 9 a.m. June 13 by the FBI Phoenix Desert Hawk Fugitive Task Force, which is comprised of FBI special agents, Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office deputies and U.S. Border Patrol Agents, according to a release from the El Dorado County District Attorney’s Office.
An El Dorado County jury convicted Cacconie in July of six counts of committing lewd acts upon a child under the age of 14, and he was scheduled to be sentenced Aug. 25, 2025.
