It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Hans Philip Hacker, a beloved father, son, brother and friend. Hans was born on May 14, 1968, in Columbus, Ohio, and spent his life embracing the simple joys around him, particularly his deep affection for animals and his cherished moments by the lake. He is preceded by his father, Hans Hacker and grandparents, Charles and Dolores Judy and Hans and Hannah Hacker.
Hans’s dedication to his family was evident in every aspect of his life. He is survived by his mother, Mary (Judy) Hacker, daughter, Kaitlyn Hacker, brothers, Kevin (Carol) Hacker and Hans (Becky) Maryak, sisters, Kim (Randy) Hall and Annie (Steve) Button and family friend, Bryan Goloyd, who remains grateful for the countless lessons and loving memories they shared.
A strong and spirited individual, Hans earned his 3rd degree black belt, showcasing his commitment to discipline and perseverance. This accomplishment served as a testament to his character and determination, traits that inspired those around him.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 12:00 PM Saturday June 20, 2026 at the Northview Baptist Church.
Thompson Funeral Home has the honor of serving the family.
