LAKE CITY, Fla. (WCJB) – Men from across North Central Florida were arrested after being caught trying to communicate with children and arrange sexual activities. These predators were caught in North Central Florida’s latest sting operation.
‘Operation Bad Habits’ was a week long undercover operation which included cooperation from neighboring counties and federal agencies around Florida. The sting resulted in the arrests of over 50 people.
Joshua Lee Head, 36, was communicating with an undercover officer posing as a child. Head attempted to get the child to send nude photographs and requested the minor find a second child to have sex with him. He told the undercover detective he preferred younger children.
Alexander Amstutz-Wilson, 34, was taken into custody at his home in St. Augustine. Investigators also caught Wilson by posing as a minor. He admitted to asking for and sending illicit photos through text.
