WALTON COUNTY, Fla. (WMBB) – A 77-year-old man wanted in Georgia for violating probation was arrested on Saturday in DeFuniak Springs.
According to the Walton County Sheriff’s Office, Michael Joseph Shaner had a nationwide extradition warrant for violations involving sex crimes against children.
Deputies reported that, along with the U.S. Marshals Task Force, Shaner was located on Cowslip Court in DeFuniak Springs and was taken into custody without incident.

Shaner faces charges of felony violation of probation on original charges of sexual exploitation of a child out of Cobb County, Georgia.
Shaner was transported to the Walton County Jail, where he awaits extradition back to Georgia.
