ALBANY – State Comptroller Thomas P. DiNapoli on Thursday announced the results of an audit of the Eldred Central School District, finding deficiencies in building access controls.
An audit of the Eldred Central School District found officials did not properly manage and monitor building access accounts and devices. Auditors identified active but unnecessary accounts that still had assigned access badges in the district’s system. According to the report, the weaknesses increased the risk of unauthorized access to school buildings and could compromise the safety and security of students, staff, and visitors.
